Considine Limited BIM Policy
Considine Limited is committed in working towards BIM level 2 capabilities to provide a consistent level of service across our civil and structural disciplines. We are aware that the UK construction industry’s understanding of the use and benefits of BIM is still developing, and we are committed to continued investment in training to ensure the abilities of our staff develop in line with the evolution of the use of BIM in practice.
The Considine Limited Directors are responsible for the delivery of the BIM Policy, with day to day delivery delegated to the CAD/BIM Manager and the designated BIM Director (Paul Considine).
At Considine Limited we have been developing our 3D design capabilities since 2014, but adoption of BIM compliant methods of works commenced in earnest in 2017, with a plan to achieve BIM level 2 readiness by 2018. This will enable Considine Limited to comply with the Government declared requirement for the adoption of BIM technologies and processes on all Government projects.
We have kept pace with the development of demand within the industry, working with local companies within the construction industry to collaborate and develop our BIM expertise.
Our commitment to BIM Level 2 is highlighted by our engagement of Excitech as consultants to support the company on achieving BIM Level 2 formal accreditation, which is scheduled for early 2018.
